RB's Music Department Calendar
29 Music and Theatre Students Receive Summer Grants from RBHS Music and Theatre Sponsors
RBHS Music and Theatre Sponsors has awarded a record-breaking $10,000 in summer study grants, surpassing our record-breaking $8,000 giveaway in 2024. Summer study grants are available by application to RB freshmen, sophomores and juniors currently enrolled in a music class or extracurricular music club, a current member of Tech Crew, or students that have participated in an RB Theatre production during the current school year. Students must be in good standing and have regularly attended and participated in the class or club indicated. There are two tiers of awards given: a $250 grant to be used toward private music lessons and a $500 grant to be used toward a camp, workshop or class. Out of 53 applications, 27 students were selected. Music and Theatre Sponsors also underwrites the cost of a week-long camp for incoming Marching Bulldog Drum Majors.

Honoring Seniors at the 2nd Annual Fine and Applied Arts College Recognition Ceremony
On April 24, RB Seniors pursuing fine, performing, and applied arts education after high school were honored by RB Administration and Faculty. Students were lauded for their leadership at RB and recognized individually by their teachers at the Thursday morning celebration. We thank our Seniors for their contributions to Music and Theatre at RB and wish them well in their future endeavors!

RB Mariachi Club Students Attend Inspiring Festival at Lewis University
Eight members of the RBHS Mariachi Club joined 40 other Mariachi students and musicians at the first annual Ecos Del Mariachi Festival at Lewis University on April 1. Our students practiced with a large ensemble from 4-5 then performed two songs at the end of the concert. They left inspired and energized.
Four BOE Candidates Answered Questions at Our Candidate Forum
Four out five invited candidates participated in the RBHS Music and Theatre Sponsors District 208 School Board Candidate Forum on March 13. Moderator Lisa Janunas, Music and Theatre Sponsors President asked the candidates for their views on a wide range of topics, from communication, community involvement, fiscal responsibility and superintendent accountability.
